Spring 2011

I've been out of fandom for way to long, and now after going through the entire winter season without watching any of the shows, I've decided to give the spring season a go, because with 42 new shows, there is bound to be something that I'd like. So I've come up with a list of what I think would be interesting, which I'm posting here so I don't forget about them and their timings and such.

Hen Zemi
Premiere: April 2, 2011
The Deal: Ordinary University student, joins research group of weirdo's, with very kinky interests.
Slice-of-life meets kink meme? Why not?

Hanasaku Iroha
Premiere: April 3, 2011
The Deal: 16 year old eaves for her grandmother’s Taisho-era hot spring inn because she's tired of city life, and becomes a waitress, apparently drama ensues.
I don't know what interests me about this one, but it seems to have potential and the art is pretty.

STEINS;GATE
Premiere: Apirl 5, 2011
The Deal: Self proclaimed mad-scientist creates microwave with the help of hacker friend, which can send text messages into the past.
All I can say about this one is it has a sort of Darker than Black feel about it which I like.

Hyouge Mono
Premiere: April 7, 2011
The Deal: The award-winning manga about a samurai and celebrated master of Japanese tea ceremony named Furuta Sasuke.
Historical Adventure and the story of the Sengoku Era told differently, seems like my cup of tea.

Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi
Premiere: April 8, 2011
The Deal: A new title from the creator of Junjou Romantica.
Because Junjou was fun and who doesn't like a little yaoi once is a while?

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai.
Premiere: April 14, 2011
The Deal: Girl enlists the help of childhood friend to reunited their old group.
I've enjoyed other noitaminA shows in the past and since this one has a H&C feel about it, I'm going to give it a go.

Deadman Wonderland
Premiere: April 16, 2011
The Deal: Boy survives the massacre of his entire class and gets sentenced to death row for it. Death row turns out to be an amusement park prison.
I've been following the manga of an on so....

I'll probably be checking out Sengoku Otome ~Momoiro Paradox~ and Tono to Issho: Gantai no Yabou just for laughs, but I don't think I'll watch more than one episode of the former, as for the latter, we'll see. There seem to be quite a few slice-of-life and Sengoku Era shows out this season, oddly enough, but since I'm quite fond of both I'm not complaining.
